WHO are we?
We are Travellab. We are 4 enthusiastic professors with a big passion for tourism. With our company we want te create a new kind of travellers, the ones who go to a destination to experiment with it instead of only visiting it. We do that by giving our laborants (because that's what we call you guys) the opportunity to make their own version of the tours that we offer. At this moment we offer tours in Rabat and Jordan. ORLANDO EECKHOUT
I am the technical expert with a brain full of facts. I know a lot about technical stuff, so actually I stand for the technical service of our company. I know a lot about different subjects and I am very good in finding detailed information about any topic we need.
SHARON DERAMMELAERE
I’m the ‘planner’. Which means you can always come to me with questions about timing, to do’s, checklists… I like to keep an overview of what has been done and what needs to be done. This way we can organize ourselves and make a tailor made trip for you. Besides this, I’m also very passionate about cultural changes and upcoming destinations. I love to look at the world in a different view and search the ‘off the beaten track’ trips
CHLOË TERMOTE
I am actually a sort of leader of our group. Even if we see ourselves all on the same line, I will always help with everyone and will take the forehand in meetings and discussions. In this way we can remain the relaxed atmosphere in our group. I am also responsible for the finishing touch of the documents of our company such as reports, .
ELISE HEREMANS
I am a woman who thinks out of the box, and come up with the new ideas and options for the travelers. On any subject I look in a different way at it and change the way of thinking of the other group members. In this way we create open minded products for our company.
MISSION
Of course, our main goal is that our experiments succeed, but in addition to this obvious goal, we have a few more.
When you go to a general travel agency, they will offer you tours and packages that are already prepared for you. First glance this seems nice. But sometimes you notice that there are things you'd rather not do or you don't feel like doing that day. Travellab wants to be different in this aspect. We like you to participate in creating your own version of our tour by offering different options where you can choose among. Furthermore we make sure that all our information is up to date and we add new upcoming destinations in the future.
We focus on upcoming destinations all over the world, just like lab technicians, we're curious about new things to experiment with. Our list of destinations currently includes the countries you can find on page 10. We would like to show people beautiful and undiscovered places nearby. We can prove the fact that you don't always have to go to the other side of the globe to experience wonderful moments as a real laborant.
Next to all this we want to mention the trend sustainability, just like all the other lab technicians in our sector, we are very afraid that the materials we work with will disappear because of global warming. We use the world to make our experiments so we have to make sure that we can keep on working with it. That’s why we keep an eye on a sustainable touch in the experiences that we offer by collaborating with local people during our tour and by only using sustainable materials such as recycled paper and re-usable disposable cameras.
VISION
Bottom line, we want to create a new type of traveler. Today and in the future.
We're making a way of traveling where you have some stipped out activities but still have the freedom to choose in the moment. That all because we believe that you, our travelers, have a lot of talent, but we want to offer a helping hand.
In addition we want to change the mindset of travelers that only visit a destination to check it off on their 'to-visit list' and take pictures to show the world that they visited it. We want you to discover the authenticity of a culture like a local. We are the company where you can count on to have a perfect experiment with your help.
We want to make it easier for you, travelers, to make your own brew instead of a pre-brewed tour. In this way your experiment becomes a more unique one and an example for other laborants, for the following generations. Doing so, we can change the travelers of the future and create a new type of laborants. What is our goal? Next to the fact that we want people to experience the destination more than just 'using' it, we also want to create more awareness of what travel causes for the world and for the locals of a destination.
